Consists of 4 2/3a batteries bundled together to form one battery. 1st, 3rd, & 5th pictures shows date of manufacture on it. All our batteries are new stock and manufactured in July of 2024. Batteries ship in their own sealed plastic package as shown in 7th picture. Difference between the brown tab and black tab is the brown one has the shorter clip and the black one has the extented clip to secure battery (if so needed). Both plug ins of the black and brown tab are identical. Only the tabs differ in length. Tecnically either color will work as reported to me by my consumers.
